Chang means elephant in thai. A pair of facing white elephants symbolises nobility, harmony, happiness and prosperity in the kingdom of Thailand.

("Carlsberg Asia"), a 50-50 joint venture that will administrate and develop the companies' marketing and brewing activities in the Asian region. 15 december 2000. The new company will be established on January 1, 2001. End in 2003. After a decade of off availability in Thailand, Carlsberg has re-entered the local market under a deal with Singha. _______________________________ First, CHANG was written in thai on the cans. It seems untill 2009. The beer was stronger than today : alc. 7,3% vol. I suppose CHANG in english came with the Classic beer alc. 6,4% vol. in 2009. In 2014, alc. in % vol. are : _ Classic : 6,4%. _ Draught 5%. _ Light 4,2 %. _ Export 5% (last brand for Thaïlande). _ Premium 5% (green can for export only or airport lounges).
